FEELers Program Information & Sample Schedule

SAMPLE SCHEDULE

This schedule provides an idea of how the week’s activities and sessions will be organized. A finalized schedule will be available in the April 2025.

TYPES OF SESSIONS

Land-based Sessions (whole camp activity): We will be joined by syilx researchers, artists and knowledge keepers to learn with this Land. We may also organize a field trip (FEELed trip?)!

The Pod System:  All campers will be part of a Pod. There will be 6 pods (8 campers per pod), each with its own thematic provocation and facilitator (known as Pod-Heads). More info here!

Skillshare/workshops (Not in pods): This is an opportunity for participants to share their research/practice with other campers in the form of a 1.5 hr workshop/skillshare/seminar. Campers don’t have to offer a session! Campers can also offer co-led sessions with other campers. These might include, e.g. mini-lecture of feminist Marxist ecology; designing a tarot deck; holding a reading group; a poetry generator session; guided walk; video-poem making; sound session; cyanotype printing, etc.. Campers will be able to sign up for 5 different workshops/skillshares. *NOTE: If you require your name to be on a “program” to apply/receive funding from your institution, this is your ticket!

Open Mic Night (whole camp activity): Opportunity for any participants/facilitators to share writing, music, movement, participatory or performative. Sign-up system on site at camp!

Symposium: On the last day of camp, we will hold an informal symposium, also open to the public. Each pod will have a 45-minute session in which they share something that has emerged from their work together. The audience will include other pods and guests from the community (free of charge, lunch and refreshments offered to all).

Spontaneous Feelings: Despite a seemingly locked-in program, the structure allows for play. Maybe there are FEELers who will organize a dawn chorus, or screenprinting over lunch. Maybe stargazing will be on the cards. We expect to encounter some unexpected feelings!

Your Body Knows the Score: And, as with all FEELed Lab events, we encourage you to go at your own pace, bow out when needed, and support others to engage at their own pace, too.
