Opportunities for Student Researchers and Community Members
The FEELed Lab welcomes (and thrives because of) the participation of student and community researchers and participants. Anyone is welcome to attend our public events, which are free of charge.
Affiliated FEELed Lab Researchers at the Woodhaven Ecoculture Centre 2022-2023
The FEELed Lab now has workspace at the Woodhaven Ecoculture Centre for affiliated student, faculty and community researchers. If you would like to spend some time conducting your research, reading, writing here, you are welcome to join our community! You can find more information here.
We may also offer additional opportunities throughout the year – stay tuned!
All FEELed Lab events strive to be feminist, anticolonial, queer, and accessible spaces.
Ongoing Opportunities for Affiliated Researchers
If you are a faculty member, instructor, or community researcher who would like to be involved with research at the FEELed Lab, please get in touch with the Lab Director at astrida.neimanis[at]ubc.ca. While we are unable to fund additional research from our own budget, we are happy to discuss ideas for securing support for appropriate projects. If you would like to conduct your own research at the FEELed Lab space, please see the information posted above.
Ongoing Opportunities for Postdoctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
If you would like to come to UBC Okanagan and work with the FEELed Lab as a graduate student (MA or PhD), please learn more about our Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program here, and send any queries to the Lab Director at astrida.neimanis[at]ubc.ca.
While we do not have independent funds to support Postdoctoral Fellows, we can support suitable applications to other funding schemes such as the Banting (international/Canada), Killam or SSHRC schemes (Canada), or international schemes such as Marie Curie fellowships. Please send any queries to the Lab Director at astrida.neimanis[at]ubc.ca.
