In June 2025, FEELed Lab will be convening a summer camp-style week-long gathering. Paying close attention to where we are meeting -on stolen, unceded syilx territories, on the shores of kɬúsx̌nítkʷ (the original and accurate name for ‘Okanagan Lake’)- around 50 participants including artists, researchers, activists and other community members will share skills, teachings, and practices; collaborate on site-specific research; and explore other creative and engaged ways to undertake feminist environmental humanities, from an intersectional perspective.
Adopting a D.I.T. (Do-it-Together!) ethos, this gathering will offer a full and lively structured program, but still allow for playful spontaneity and welcome rest. Part creative retreat, part academic seminar, part skills-share, but all joy, we hope you can join us!
Applications will open on October 17. Participants will be responsible for their travel and accommodations costs; a range of very affordable accommodations, ranging from camping to cabins (including accessible suites), are available. Meals will be partially provided, and food costs will be heavily subsided. Program costs for the week are offered on a no-questions-asked sliding affordability scale, ranging from $0-$400 CAD.
NEW! A limited number of ACCESS SCHOLARSHIPS ($200-$500) have been made available for attendees. Please indicate if you wish to be considered on your application. (If you have already submitted your application, please send us a note if you would like to be considered for these scholarships)
