Analog vs. AI
craft-a-strophe:
[from craft: making, doing + strophe: part of a poem]
Where crafting, poetry, and climate change come together.
WHEN: Friday, May 22nd, 10- 2 PM
WHERE: Woodhaven EcoCulture Centre
WHAT: Join us at the FEELed Lab for day of “Making & Mailing”, we will be screen printing patches, collaging postcards and reading poems. This event is also our rescheduled contribution for International Analog Day, which has been instigated by Badass Cross Stitch + The Joyful Menace Society! We will supply coffee, poems, and materials if you bring your hands, brains, and voices.

International Analogy Day fits the vibe the FEELed Lab has been developing recently – going more analog! This includes our move away from Instagram in Oct 2025 and our FEELed Lab merch creation we did during our last craft-a-strophe session. During this craft-a-strophe session we will make more FEELed Lab Swag and finally send out our ‘thank you’ letters from our crowdsourcing community call.
Imagine someone saying, ‘Our fundamental situation is joyful.’ Now imagine believing it.
Or forget belief: imagine feeling, even if for a moment, that it were true.” (Nelson, 2009, p. 89)

One of the core values of International Analog Day is Joy – so we will attempt a little experiment during this session to craft and wonder together:
What might joyful resistance to AI look like?
