Make & Mail: FEELed Lab Swag on its way

FEELed Lab fabric patches in orange, gray and different patterns spread out on the floor. Some patches have a "Fringe Natures" print, others show the FEELed Lab logo.

This FEELed Note was written by FEELed Lab Administrator Julia Jung.

On May 13 we hosted our second knowledge mobilization crafting session for our “crowd-sourcing community” campaign. As part of our overall knowledge mobilization strategy and our move away from Instagram, we have been encouraging people to sign up for our monthly newsletter, the FEELed Guide.

Back in August last year we had our first Craft-A-strophe focused on creating community where we made a bunch of buttons and post cards with the best intentions to send them out ASAP. The Canadian post strike got in our way, then the winter and then we ended up giving most of our buttons away at our big 5-year event.

Crafting materials and postcards spread over the FEELed Lab kitchen table

So we crafted some more! Alongside a bunch of handmade post-cards, each package now has a screenprinted FEELed Lab patch as well as one of our “Glossaries in Progress”. The glossaries came out of our access and inclusion in environmental humanities research project.

Every package has one of the two volumes and if you feel so inspired, we invite you to come by the FEELed Lab or trade with someone to read both parts of them 😉

Two chapbooks titled "Glossary in Progress - Access and Inclusion at the FEELed Lab" on a wooden table.

If you filled in our “crowd-sourcing community survey” last year, these little packages are now on their way to you! We hope your address hasn’t changed and that you’ll enjoy these little gifts.

In slowness & gratitude,

The FEELed Lab
